Actress Uche Jombo has reacted to the shocking death of gospel singer Sammie Okposo.
The singer’s demise was confirmed by his project manager Hilary Vincent.
“Yes, it’s true. It happened this morning,” Vincent told Punch.
Reacting to the tragedy in an Instagram post on Friday, Uche shared the image of a burning candle with the caption: “We can’t question God.”
It was gathered that Sammie died on Friday morning after he slumped. He was rushed to a hospital in Lekki where he was confirmed dead.
The 51-year-old was supposed to perform alongside other gospel singers, Eben, Chuks Praise, Joy Favour and Victor Edet at the Outpouring Assembly International in Calabar on Friday, November 25 to 27.
He, unfortunately, died hours before the event.
A few days before his shocking death, Sammie shared a message on his Instagram account where he talked about how he almost let go but God’s grace kept him.
He wrote: “I almost let go, you wouldn’t let me go. Devil thought he had me but God’s grace kept me. God’s grace kept me and will continue to keep me. What the enemy meant for evil, God blocked it.”
Sammie and his wife Ozioma celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary on July 1.
