The Lagos State Government is determined to enforce the use of pedestrian bridges across the metropolis and has even constructed different kinds of barricade to prevent people from dashing across the expressway.
Trouble in some areas though is that the bridges are not big enough to cope with human traffic at peak periods.
Given the mass movement of people and the traffic snarl caused by pedestrians crossing the expressway, Commander of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), ACP Tunji Disu, led his team to maintain peace and order on the usage of the Ojota Pedestrian Bridge on Monday.
Some pedestrians were apprehended for crossing the expressway and commercial bus drivers being arrested for picking passengers at undesignated bus stops along Ikorodu Road.
