Odi Okojie, husband of actress Mercy Johnson Okojie, has hailed his wife for supporting his political ambition and joining the All Progressive Congress (APC) women rally for Bola Tinubu in the Southwest.
Mercy on Wednesday, sparked mixed reactions on social media after posting pictures from the rally on Instagram.
While many expressed disappointed over the actress’ choice of presidential candidate, others applauded her for supporting her husband’s party.
Reacting in the comment section of her post on Thursday, Odi Okojie thanked his wife for her support.
He wrote: My Dear Wife and Best Friend, Thanks a lot for your support, You have always STOOD where STAND, You’re an amazing WOMAN. We will work hard for NIGERIA. LOVE you and GOD Bless you.”
In May, 2022, Mercy’s husband won APC primaries to stand for election to represent Esan North East/ South East federal constituency in the House of Representatives.
In her congratulatory message to Okojie, the mother of four described her husband as “a man of the people.”
“Congratulations to @princeodiokojie on this win. You are a good man and a man of the people. I am sure you will be an awesome federal representative for the good people of Esan land. The mission is now a movement,” she said.
