Activist Aisha Yesufu has declared that presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) Peter Obi cannot fix Nigeria alone.
The 49-year-old made the statement in a Twitter post on Sunday.
“Peter Obi is not going to fix Nigeria alone. Vote competent people into the National Assembly,” she tweeted.
Speaking further in a YouTube video released shortly before the tweet, Mrs Yesufu said Nigerians should not expect positive results if they vote Mr Obi for president and elect “selfish politicians” as lawmakers.
According to her, the people should vote for competence, not political parties.
Aisha Yesufu had said during a campaign in Nasarawa State in October that she will hold the former Anambra State governor accountable if he becomes president.
“2023 election is an election for survival. We are not only voting for ourselves, we are also voting for our children and our grandchildren, and the generation yet to come.
“We want Mr Peter Obi to be in office. I will hold him accountable; we’ll ensure he works for the people,” she told the crowd in Lafia, the state capital.
