Oluwaloseyi Fatinoye, younger brother of assassinated former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) worker, Kehinde Fatinoye, has disclosed that there is no one left in the immediate family of the deceased.
Oluwaloseyi made the revelation in an interview with The PUNCH.
Mr Fatinoye and his wife Oluwabukola Fatinoye were killed in their home in Abeokuta, Ogun State on Sunday, January 1.
The couple had just returned from a crossover service into the new year when they were attacked.
Their son Oreoluwa was abducted during the attack.
His corpse was recovered from the Ogun River on Tuesday, the day his parents were buried.
“My brother has no children. His family has been wiped out,” Oluwaloseyi said in the interview.
According to him, his brother’s marriage produced two sons and no daughter.
Oreoluwa was the first child of the family.
The second-born Oluwatunmise died in June 2022.
“He lost his second child, Oluwatunmise, in June. I was told that he slumped during a football match in school and died.
“I was called for the incident. I was told that the boy, after finishing Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination was playing football, fell, and died.
“I was the one who buried him. I retrieved his body from the mortuary and buried him at the Kobape cemetery.
“I buried the second born, I buried my brother and his wife, and I am going to bury this one (Oreoluwa).
“I’m empty; there’s nothing left for me,” Oluwaloseyi lamented.
He described his brother as humble and easy-going, adding that he was the breadwinner of their entire family.
