Shina Peller, a member of the House of Representatives, has directed his supporters to vote for Governor Seyi Makinde of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for a second term.
This followed a meeting of traditional rulers and politicians in the Oke Ogun area of the state on Tuesday where attendees resolved to re-elect Makinde, saying he has delivered on his promises.
Mr Peller, who represents lseyin/ltesiwaju/ Kajola/lwajowa of Oyo State, became a federal lawmaker on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2019.
He defected to the Accord Party last year after he contested and lost the APC Oyo North Senatorial District primary election to Fatai Buhari.
Peller contested the Senate election of February 25 on the platform of the Accord Party but lost to Buhari who was declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The socialite-turned-politician has now directed his followers to vote for Makinde of the PDP in the governorship election rescheduled for March 18.
Peller, however, insists he is still a member of the Accord Party.
