Little known Nigerian striker, Imoh Fred Friday, is currently the leading goal scorer in the Norwegian top flight also known as the Tippeligaen.
With four goals in five games for Lillestrom, Imoh is the most lethal marksman in the Scandinavian nation – evident is a quadruple in his last three.
Born 20 years ago, the right footed forward moved to Norway in 2013 as a teenager – but managed only three appearances in his debut season.
He continued his progress with The Canaries by featuring predominately the season after – hitting three goals in 16 games.
His form however earned him an invitation from coach Samson Siasia to the Dream Team squad for the 2015 All African Games qualifiers – but he narrowly missed out on a spot to the showpiece.
In April 2015, Imoh once again proved his qualities by scoring four goals in Lillestrom 9-3 spanking of Raelingen in the NM Cup.
That set the tune for an incredible season in which he grabbed 11 goals in 26 appearances at the Åråsen Stadion.
This term, the LSK no 23 notched his first of the season in the 4-2 defeat at Molde before striking twice in the 4-0 rout of Sarpsborg.
He followed up his man of the match performance with another goal to help Rúnar Kristinsson’s side claim a point on the road in the 2-2 draw with Haugesund on Friday.
Lillestrom are currently 10th on the log, but with the form of the young Nigerian who has scored 18 goals in 50 games, The Canaries will most likely soar higher in that regard.
