There was tight security as President-elect Bola Tinubu voted in the governorship and house of assembly elections at his polling unit in Alausa, Ikeja on Saturday morning.
Mr. Tinubu, who voted at 9.35am was accompanied by his wife Oluremi Tinubu and daughter Folashade Tinubu-Ojo.
A combined team of police, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Department of State Services (DSS), Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and Nigeria Immigration Service was on the ground before Tinubu’s arrival.
Heads of the various security agencies inspected and patrolled the area before the arrival and departure of the president-elect.
Tinubu’s spokesman Dele Alake told journalists that his principal could not speak immediately after voting but will do so later in the evening.
