Rita Daniels, mother of actress Regina Daniels, has graduated with a bachelor of law degree from the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).
She shared pictures of herself in convocation gown on Instagram on Sunday.
“The LLB Law 12th convocation of NOUN 2023 which took place Saturday 25th March, 2023,” she wrote.
Regina was not seen in the pictures.
Congratulatory messages from well-wishers, including her colleagues, have flooded the comment section.
Actress Eve Esin wrote, “Congrats ma.”
One half of the Aneke twins Chidinma wrote, “Congratulations Ma.”
Actress Chita Johnson also commented, saying “Congratulations mami.”
One Instagram user known as Diddy CFN wrote, “Congratulations. I like your kind of a woman! No limitations at all. You know what you want in yourself and that of your family! God bless you.”
Another called Nelly Vee said, “The joy of having increases by having, I love women who want more out of life.”
As of the time of filing this report, Regina had yet to make a public statement about her mother’s latest achievement.
Rita’s in-law, Ned Nwoko, is also a lawyer. He was a member of the House of Representatives between 1999 and 2003 representing Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, Delta State.
He is now the senator-elect for Delta North, succeeding Peter Nwaoboshi who was in 2022 convicted of money laundering and sentenced to seven years imprisonment.
Quite a number of Nigerian actors have law degrees. Among them are Kanayo O. Kanayo, Kenneth Okonkwo, Richard Mofe-Damijo aka RMD, and Femi Adebayo.
