Ify Rhodes-Vivour, wife of the governorship candidate of the Labour Party in Lagos Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, has said she is not afraid of threats because she comes from a family of “military men”.
Mrs Rhodes-Vivour was responding to allegations that her father embezzled public funds while he was military administrator of Kogi State.
The scientist decried alleged misinformation from the ruling All Progressives Congress, adding that she has “soldier in my DNA” and would not cower in the face of injustice.
“So much misinformation, propaganda, vitriol and wickedness from the APC,” she wrote on Twitter on Saturday.
“In all of this you got one thing right- I come from a long line of Military men. I have SOLDIER in my DNA. I fear nothing and no one.
“I will not cower in the face of injustice!!!”
Mrs Rhodes-Vivour is a molecular geneticist with a special focus on malaria drug resistance.
She is the daughter of Lt. Col. Ifeanyi Aniebo from Umunze in Anambra State.
