Former minister of education Oby Ezekwesili on Thursday morning received a surprise gift from three of her friends ahead of her 60th birthday.
The economic policy expert and former vice president for the World Bank’s Africa region turns 60 on Friday.
Ezekwesili revealed on Twitter that her “incredible friends” in Lagos sent a group of saxophonists to serenade her in preparation for her 60th birthday.
Ezekwesili, a pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG); co-founder and founding director of Transparency International; and co-founder of the #BringBackOurGirls movement, shared photos of herself, husband and saxophonist on their knees thanking God.
“Yup! #MyDiamondJourney to 60 divinely-orchestrated years on earth has begun.
“Although my birthday is tomorrow, 3 of my incredible friends in Lagos sent me a surprise Sax Group this morning. Praise the Lord,” she wrote.
