Italian giants, Juventus, are close to completing a deal for Valencia starlet, Andre Gomes, for a fee close to €30 million according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 22-year-old Portugal international midfielder, who has been in a brilliant form this season, scoring four goals and providing four assists in 33 appearances for the Los Che, is also on the radar of Manchester United.
The Biaconneri have moved quickly to ensure they don’t miss out on the young playmaker with Claudio Marchisio out until October after suffering ligament damage to his knee.
Massimiliano Allegri will have another starter along with the likes of Sami Khedira and Paul Pogba, at his disposal.
Gomes is able to play in the heart of a four-man midfield or in the centre of a three-man midfield, meaning the Italian tactician will be able to field him in whatever setup he opts for.
Allegri will be hoping he can field him alongside Pogba, with the club keen to sort the Frenchman’s future out before the middle of May.
