Singer Seun Kuti has said that a policeman he slapped in a viral video tried to “kill” him.
Since the video of the musician went viral, it has been greeted with condemnation by the public.
Speaking on the incident, Seun said on Saturday night via Instagram Story, “He tried to kill me and my family. I have the proof but I no dey chase clout. He has apologised and I have agreed not to press charges. Make una mind una business make the poor guy no lose him job.”
Force public relations officer Muyiwa Adejobi reacted to the viral video, describing the incident as unbelievable.
He stated that the police would speak on the video “very soon”.
“Seun’s Attack: The NPF will speak to this incident very soon. It’s unbelievable, but such happens for people to learn lessons. We shall be back,” Adejobi said.
