Reactions have begun trailing actress Mercy Aigbe’s announcement that she has officially become ‘Hajia’ another word for ‘Alhaja’.
The talented actress, who has fully taken up her husband’s religion following their marriage, has been in Mecca for some days now.
On Wednesday, Mercy shared a video of herself with some women in Mecca on her Instagram page.
“Hajia Minnah with the ‘h’. Now official. Alhamdulilah Rabbil-Alamin,” she wrote.
Taking to the comment section of Mercy’s post, the likes of Bakare Zainab, Folorunsho Adeola, Yinka Quadri, Tayo Odueke, and others congratulated her.
Praying for herself, Folorunsho declared that she is next in line. “Congratulations Hajia Minnah with the ‘H’ love et. I am next,” she wrote.
Yinka wrote, “Alhamdulillah robili alamin.”
Tayo and Folorunsho both wrote, “Congratulations Alhaja.”
Some days back, Mercy shared photos of herself and her husband Kazim Adeoti at the airport all ready for their Hajj pilgrimage.
This is Mercy’s first Hajj since getting married to Kazim.
