Oyo State Family Court has remanded skit maker Maruf Abdullahi, popularly known as Trinity Guy, in Agodi correctional facility over the alleged sexual exploitation of a 10-year-old girl.
Magistrate P. O. Adetuyibi on Tuesday ordered that the 31-year-old funnyman; the girl’s father Isiaka Ahmed, 40; and mother Rofiat Ahmed, 29, should continue to be remanded in Agodi.
Adetuyibi adjourned the matter until August 3 for mention.
The police charged Trinity Guy alongside the parents of the alleged victim with conspiracy and sexual abuse/exploitation.

Earlier, the prosecution counsel Oluwakemi Arowosaye told the court that Trinity Guy, Ahmed and Rofiat allegedly conspired to sexually abuse the victim.
Arowosaye said the comedian on December 17, 2022, was alleged to have sexually abused and sexually exploited a 10-year-old girl in the Kuola area in Ibadan.
According to the police, the alleged offence contravened the provisions of Section 35 (1) and punishable under Section 35 (2) of the Oyo State Child Rights Law 2006.
Arowosaye said it also contravenes the provisions of Section 516 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State 2000.
