An aircraft has crashed in the Oba Akran area of Ikeja, Lagos State.
The incident happened on Tuesday afternoon close to a branch of the United Bank for Africa (UBA) and a filing station.
Gboyega Akosile, chief press secretary of Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, said four persons, including the pilot, were on board the aircraft.
Mr Akosile shared on social media several videos of the crash scene, showing rescue workers at work and tens of residents observing.
According to him, the casualties have been taken alive to an undisclosed hospital.
He also said officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) and the Lagos State Fire Service were at the scene.
“A helicopter containing 4 persons including the pilot crash landed in front of the UBA branch in Ikeja.
“All four casualties have been retrieved from the aircraft alive. They have been transferred to hospital for further care. LASEMA, Lagos Fire Service on ground,” he wrote.

The governor’s senior special assistant on new media Jubril Gawat said on Twitter that it was a private helicopter, adding that it burst into flames after crashing.
He also said officers of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), Lagos State Transport Management Agency (LASTMA) and Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) joined in the rescue operation.
“A private helicopter has crashed on Oba Akran Road, Ikeja, Lagos. The helicopter immediately burst into flames after landing. Officers of the Lagos Fire Service, RRS, LASTMA, FAAN are all on ground at the scene.
“4 RESCUED and Taken to the hospital…. They are in Stable condition and responding to treatment,” he wrote.
