Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki on Monday shared on Instagram photos from Senator Daisy Danjuma’s 71st birthday celebration.
Danjuma clocked 71 on Sunday.
Obaseki and others are seen in the pictures smiling and posing for the camera with the celebrant.
“We had a great time celebrating with you, our dear Senator Daisy Danjuma, as you turn 71,” the governor wrote in his Instagram post.
He described Danjuma as a symbol of the Edo woman.
“We thank God for His goodness in your life and will always appreciate you for your years of service to the state and the nation, as well as your selfless humanitarian work. Thank you for being an emblem; a symbol of the Edo woman,” he said.

Last year, Danjuma had a party at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos to celebrate her 70th birthday.
The event had the likes of former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar; Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu; and former presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, in attendance.
Danjuma represented Edo South Senatorial District in the Senate between 2003 and 2007. She re-contested the seat in 2011 but was unsuccessful.
