The Department of State Services (DSS) has detained the suspended chairman of Ijebu-East Local Government Area, Wale Adedayo, following his allegations that Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun diverted statutory federal allocation due to the state’s local governments in the last two years.
Mr Adedayo arrived at the DSS facility close to the governor’s office at Oke-Imosan, Abeokuta, at about 11:45 am on Friday, following an invitation by the secret police, reports PUNCH.
Abiodun is also said to have met with Adedayo at the DSS facility.
“The DSS has detained Wale Adedayo just now. They asked us to leave, that they’re not ready to interrogate him yet,” a family source was quoted to have said.
