Rapper Drake is the newest member of The Forbes top five richest hip-hop stars with a net worth of $60 million. The YMCMB act came fifth after displacing rapper, 50 cent, who had filed for bankruptcy last year due to mismanagement of funds.
The annual list has been about the same five people – Diddy, Birdman, Dr. Dre, Jay Z and 50 Cent, but this year saw the entry of Drake after selling an estimated 630,000 copies of his fourth album Views on its April 29 release date.
The 29-year-old also increased his net worth through touring and business deals with Nike, Sprite and Apple.
Business mogul and Rapper, Diddy continues to hold the number one position with a net worth of $750 million.
Following closely is Dr. Dre with $710 million, Jay Z ranks third with $610 million and Cash money Boss, Birdman ranks fourth with $110 million.
