A man of his word, Awosika pays tributes to Bode Agusto

Former chairman of First Bank of Nigeria Ltd Ibukun Awosika has paid tributes to Bode Agusto the late founder of Nigeria’s first credit rating agency Agusto & Co.

Agusto died on October 19 aged 68 in Portugal.

Mrs Awosika described him in an Instagram post on Tuesday night after his burial as a man of integrity, noting that he was an encourager to many.

“Today, we laid to rest an amazing father, a dedicated husband, a loyal brother and friend, an astute professional of the highest calibre. A man of his word and consistent in his integrity through all seasons. An encourager of so many.

“Thank you for who you were, thank you for your support and encouragement through the years. You will definitely be missed. May your legacy through the institutions you founded, and the many lives you impacted continue to speak for you through generations,” she wrote.

In another post, Awosika wrote: “The many faces of a truly great man. A brother, a friend and an encourager per excellence! OLABODE AGUSTO MFR.

“Founder AGUSTO & CO ( first indigenous rating agency) Former Director of budget & planning for Nigeria. Former Pro Chancellor and Chairman of council, Lagos State University. Amongst the many things that he did excellently.”
