Former presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar on Friday made his first public appearance after the Supreme Court judgement.
The apex court on Thursday dismissed all appeals, including Atiku’s, against President Bola Tinubu’s victory, upholding the decision of the tribunal which sat at the Court of Appeal in Abuja.
Atiku submitted an application to present fresh evidence against Tinubu in respect of the diploma certificate from Chicago State University (CSU) which the president presented to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
But the court said it had no jurisdiction to receive fresh evidence.

The PDP has since expressed its disappointment at the court’s ruling.
Hours after the judgement, Atiku went for Jumat prayer at the national mosque in Abuja and shared photos on social media.
The former Vice President said that after the Jumat service, a prayer session was held during the wedding fatiha of the daughter of PDP’s acting national chairman to Bello Ahmad.
“At the National Mosque after the Jumat service, along with other dignitaries, we held a prayer session during the wedding Fatiha of the daughter of the Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ambassador Umar Damagum,” Atiku wrote.
Among the dignitaries who graced the occasion were the APC national chairman, Umar Ganduje; Yobe State governor, Mai Mala Buni; Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki; former governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido; Bindow Jibrila of Adamawa; former governor of Niger State, Babangida Aliyu; and Senator Abdul Ningi.
