President Bola Tinubu has appointed Rinsola Abiola, daughter of the late politician Moshood Abiola, as his senior special assistant on citizenship and leadership.
In a statement posted on X on Thursday, Rinsola thanked Tinubu for the honour.
“With a heart full of gratitude to the Almighty, I wish to express my profound appreciation to my father and leader, H.E. President @OfficialABAT, for deeming me worthy of serving our dear country as the Senior Special Assistant to the President (SSAP) on Citizenship and Leadership.
“My participation in the Renewed Hope campaign was a decision borne of duty and conviction; being called upon to serve is thus an honour that I am exceedingly thankful for,” part of the statement read.

Rinsola pledged her commitment to delivering on the task assigned to her.
Before her appointment, she coordinated the activities of the Progressive Sisters’ Network (PSN), a women-focused support group which she founded in 2022.
