Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, could not hold back his excitement on Friday as he finally became a Grammy Award nominee.
The 31-year-old bagged a total of three nominations in the 66th Grammys announced on Friday.
His fourth studio album Timeless was nominated in the ‘Best Global Music Album’ category while the singles ‘Unavailable’ and ‘Feel’ were nominated in the ‘Best African Music Performance’ and ‘Best Global Music Performance’ categories, respectively.
The singer took to X on Friday to celebrate his win, saying that delay is not denial.
“Three nominations at the Grammy!!! Delay is not denial,” he wrote.
Davido will be going against Burna Boy and Arooj Aftab, Silvana Estrada, Béla Fleck, Falu and Gaurav Shah for the ‘Best Global Music Performance’ win.

He will also be competing with Burna Boy, Susana Baca, Shakti, and Bokante in the ‘Best Global Music Album’ category.
