Fans of rapper Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji popularly known as Oladips have begun questioning the report about his death after a video of the rapper vibing to his new song surfaced online.
The video was uploaded on Oladip’s Instagram account on Thursday, leaving many to wonder if the music artiste faked his death.
In the video, Oladips who looked pale was vibing to ‘Ori’ one of the tracks from his new album Superhero Augbo.
The video was captioned: “Proof of life.”
The video generated reactions on social media.
“Wait, is he alive?” Jonathan Iwu who appeared shocked wrote on Instagram.
“This doesn’t look staged. Na only him know wetin e see,” Ronke the Yoruba Idoma Babe added.
“I dnt understand are you guys not happy He is back or what?” Rahmat Danjuma wrote.
Ometere Buru wrote: “This guy must be fighting some demons. I wish him well and you all should be kind with your words.”
“He doesn’t look like he faked. Maybe he almost died,” an Instagram account with the name Skincare Lagos added.
“U know what..atleast he did not go for a u**less surgery…come out..lie he has kid ey issues and collect cash from Nigerians. I may not support what he did..but some of ur favs have pulled crazy stunts before…I don’t see anyone complaining. Ola…hope u dey okay. Talk to smne if u must…we are behind you. We go stream the music if e go make u feel fetter,” Stars Dollars wrote.
“The people posting RIP, are u even humane at all? Do you so badly want him to die before you can show him love? Do you know what he actually went through? Why are humans like this? Akindele Opeyemi wrote.
Oladips’ management announced his death in a brief statement shared on the rapper’s Instagram post on November 15.
According to the statement, the 28-year-old who died on Tuesday “kept battles within himself” for the past two years.
The management also said that his body is with his family and the funeral service will be announced soon.

The statement read: “We are saddened to inform the general public that Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji aka 0LADIPS has passed away yesterday Nov 14th Tuesday evening, at exactly 10:14 pm. We are still in shock as we speak!
“For over 2 years he has kept his battles within himself, his body is now with his family & funeral services will be announced as soon as it is concluded! The family asked that we respect their privacy in this trying time. May God give us all the fortitude to bear this great loss. (amen).- Management.”
