Dancer Yeni Kuti has taken her followers and fans down memory lane with throwback pictures of her father Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.
The co-host of Your View TV show shared the photos via Instagram on Friday giving her 109k followers something for their weekend delight.
The pictures show Fela at different stages in his life, chronicling his life, music and activism career and some of his stage performances as well as memorable moments with notable personalities.
Captioning the photos, Yeni wrote: “Fela in various pictures. My phone brought out this real of my pictures, so I decided to share. Hope you enjoy it.”
Many fans took to the comment section to express how much they miss the late music legend.
“Wow, the legendary Abami Eda with uncle Beko and is that not Femi Falana? Memories are forever,” Salome wrote.
“He always smiled even in the face of adversity,” Timi wrote.
“I miss Fela. Almighty God only made one original master copy and no duplicates. He was an unprecedented phenomenon in modern music, human rights and sociopolitical consciousness. Fela died of AIDS on August 2, 1997, at the age of 58.

The cause of death was announced at a press conference by his brother Prof Ransome-Kuti who was Nigeria’s minister of health at the time.
Fela’s third child and second daughter Sola Kuti also died in 1997, a few weeks after him.
