Gospel singer Dunsin Oyekan has said that the death of his wife Doyin broke and crushed him.
The 39-year-old disclosed this during an interview shared via X on Wednesday.
Dunsin said the loss of his father gave him purpose in pain while his wife’s death broke him.
“Things happened in my life like the loss of my father that opened up to me, purpose, I could find purpose in pain, the loss of my wife broke me and then brought out this oil that now flows. So God had to crush me through some experience to bring out what he is using around the world now. So that’s my journey, it became clear and with God, destiny is never a destiny, it is an adventure,” he said.
In September 2022, Dunsin survived a car crash along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, three years after the death of his wife.
It was gathered that a crew member suffered minor injuries, but everyone survived the accident.
Doyin died in May 2019.
