Actor Sunkanmi Omobolanle has reunited with his ‘industry mother’ Sola Sobowale years after he featured in her 2003 film Ayomida.
Sunkanmi who appeared excited to meet Sola as he often calls her his mother, shared a video of their reunion via Instagram on Thursday with a lovely message to Sola.
The duo could be seen all smiles, playing with each other.
The Yoruba actor expressed delight over meeting with the King of Boys star after many years.
He wrote: “Maami @solasobowale Words can’t express how much joy I felt seeing you again after so many years I’m so happy Maami 🕺🏽Ha, she @solasobowale try for my life oo. God bless you keep you for us Miami. I love you Maami.”
Sunkanmi played a role in the 2003 Yoruba film Ayomida which was co-executive produced, co-written by Sola Sobolwale and directed by Tade Ogidan.
The movie also stars Richard Mofe-Damijo, Bimbo Manuel, Foluke Daramola, Toyin Afolayan, Fred Aseroma, Ayo Badmus, Maryam Ibrahim, Yetunde Ogunde, Muyiwa Adegoke, Yemi Ademowale and the late Bukky Ajayi.
A native of Oyo State, Sunkanmi is the son of the veteran comic actor Sunday Omobolanle. He got married to his wife Bimbo in 2011.
