Freestyle wrestler Odunayo Adekuoroye has shared a video of herself on social media singing beside her late mum’s body.
Adekuoroye announced her mother’s death on November 12.
She said her mother died three weeks before the announcement.
Adekuoroye, who clocked 30 on Sunday, said she wished her mum was alive to celebrate with her.
“1st birthday without my mom, I am sad 😢 you are not here to celebrate with me anymore mom, but I am also happy 🥰 you are in a better place with God,” she wrote.
Adekuoroye, on November 28, celebrated the posthumous birthday of her mother.
“I remembered that today is your birthday, but I am so sad 😭 you are no longer with us. Regardless, I am still satisfied that you are happy in Heaven. HAPPY POSTHUMOUS BIRTHDAY MY LOVELY MOTHER. I LOVE AND MISS YOU SO MUCH,” the athlete wrote in an Instagram post.
