Leicester City forward, Jamie Vardy, nets double in the Foxes’ 3-1 win over Everton at King Power Stadium on Saturday to complete a perfect English Premier League title coronation for Claudio Ranieri’s men.
Leicester were given a guard of honour by Everton before kick-off, with the title already won for the first time in their 132-year history on Monday, when closest title rivals Tottenham Hotspur were held 2-2 by Chelsea.
Vardy required just five minutes of his return from suspension to put the home side ahead through Andy King’s wonderful cross.
King, an academy graduate, part of the Leicester side that won the League One and Championship crowns, struck home the second to raise the atmosphere at King Power Stadium.
Vardy scored his 24th league goal of the campaign with a second half penalty.
Matchday centre referee, Andre Marinner, awarded the Foxes another penalty, after Darron Gibson had fouled Jefferey Schlupp, but Vardy was unable to convert the spot-kick.
