Former minister of works and housing Babatunde Fashola will on Friday, December 15 deliver a lecture on the theme ‘Leadership – Leading the Change’ at the 2023 annual lecture organised by the Honorary Members’ Forum (HMF) of the Nigeria Air Force Officers’ Mess (NAFOM).
The event will be held at Sam Ethan Air Force Base in Ikeja, Lagos from 5 pm.
President of the mess committee Air Commodore AI Sambo will also deliver a presentation at the event.
The lecturers will be dissecting the theme vis-à-vis Nigeria’s security situation.
The special guests of honour are Air Vice Marshal Abubakar Abdullahi, who is the air officer commanding logistic command; and chairman of NAFOM Ikeja’s HMF, Goke Akinrogunde.
Abdullahi is a senior NAF officer who has participated in both international peacekeeping and internal security operations including United Nations missions, ECOWAS missions in Liberia and Guinea Bissau.
He also participated in Operation Lafia Dole as well as Operation Hadin Kai in the north-east.

Akinrogunde is a medical practitioner and principal associate at GTAKHEALTH Communication and Allied Services.
The event will include both learning and networking sessions for the attendees.
Meanwhile, after the lecture, there will be a Tombola Night themed ‘Fly Boy Parry’. Prizes to be won include Arabian ram, airline ticket, weekend reservation for two at a five-star hotel, microwave and smart TV among others.
Guest appearances will be made by MC Mayor, DJ Joetunes, DJ Hammerdino, MC Kash, NAFRC Band, Twister Dancer, and Nnamdi Oke Bakassi among others.
Red carpet will begin at 6:30 pm while the main event is scheduled for 7:30 pm. After the Tombola, there will be an after-party at the Officers’ Mess Lounge at 11:30 pm.
