Comedian Mark Angel has tendered an apology to the public over a video of Emanuella dancing in an outfit he called “inappropriate”.
Emanuella set the internet abuzz on Thursday after a video of the 13-year-old dancing to the song ‘Paper’ by singer Toye in a body-fitted black gown went viral.
The video, however, generated mixed reactions from X users as many suggested that Emanuella is too young to be dancing in that manner they described as provocative.
Reacting to the concerns over the girl, Mark Angel who serves as her guardian, took to his Instagram story to apologise for the video.
The comedian explained that the outfit Emanuella wore belonged to one of her elder sisters and she took it without their knowledge and posted it on WhatsApp.
He added that the video was uploaded on TikTok by someone they considered to be a family friend without her consent as Emanuella only shared it on her WhatsApp status.
He wrote: “Dear friends and family, want to address a situation involving my child: Emanuella’s recent video that has been circulating on social media.
“Unfortunately, she innocently wore inappropriate clothing belonging to one of her elder sisters without our knowledge, and posted it on her WhatsApp status but unfortunately a view-hungry adult (whole believe should have done the right thing by calling to report the child’s behaviour considering that we consider her a family friend) She downloaded the video and posted it on her own tiktok account without considering that the child may have posted that video without fully understanding the consequences. The video was shared without my consent or the consent of her handler.
