Big Brother Naija winner Phyna has recounted losing 17 ambassadorial deals due to online controversies.
Since her emergence as the season seven winner, Phyna has been involved in several altercations with her fellow reality stars, social media trolls and social media influencers.
Phyna’s abortion remarks, the controversy over a rented wig, an altercation with Beauty and Groovy are some of the issues that made headlines in 2023.
In a recent interview with her colleague, Doyin, Phyna revealed that 17 ambassadorial deals have slipped through her fingers since the controversies.
The 26-year-old noted that one brand in particular pulled out from a deal because of an assault allegation against her at the time.
She said: “Around two weeks ago, myself and my manager did a rough calculation of how many deals I lost from last year till now, we counted 27 deals. I’m aware of one very big brand that actually told me their reason for not working with me. They said they can’t work with an abuser, yes, and this was coming from that period blogger carried out that I slapped this guy.

“So a whole lot of stories, they give me their reasons, ‘Oh Phyna you are good, you are very marketable but bloggers keep saying things and later on, we hear it’s not like that, we don’t know what to believe so we just don’t want to associate with you’. So that’s why most times I’m always pissed with these bloggers.”
