Senate President Godswill Akpabio on Saturday shared on social media photos of his attendance at a special dinner to celebrate the wedding fatiha of Mustapha Sani Abacha, son of the late military dictator Gen Sani Abacha, and Safa Geidam.
The event was held on Friday at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
Also present were Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau, first lady Oluremi Tinubu and former first ladies Turai Yar’Adua and Patience Jonathan.
Akpabio shared the photos on social media, saying: “Yesterday, I attended a Special Dinner to celebrate the wedding Fatiha of Alhaji Mustapha Sanni Abacha, at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.

“The ceremony also had in attendance, the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Deputy President of the Senate, Jibrin Barau, former First Ladies Turai Yar’Adua, Titi Atiku and Patience Jonathan, members of the National Assembly, traditional and religious leaders among other dignitaries.”
Abacha and Geidam got married in December 2023 at the Mohammed Ali Mosque in Old GRA, Maiduguri, Borno State.
Among the guests present were Vice President Kashim Shettima, Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State, Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State and others.
