Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti has explained why his father music legend Fela Anikulapo-Kuti did not hide his relationships with other women.
The 40-year-old disclosed this in a recent live session via Instagram while addressing BBC’s TB Joshua documentary and rape allegations.
Speaking on the matter, Seun Kuti said he loves Fela’s style because he never hid his sexual affairs with other women and can never be associated with a sex scandal because he was upfront.
“That is why I like Fela style, no need to be hiding, Fela was a priest too, chief priest of the Afrika Shrine but Fela was upfront, that’s why as Fela don die now we are not hearing scandal, ‘oh Fela was f*cking girls in the organisation’, we already know Fela was f*cking girls in the organisation e no hide am,” he said.
