Actress turned politician Tonto Dikeh has slammed those criticising her for joining President Bola Tinubu’s All Progressive Party (APC).
Although Tonto joined the party in 2023, fresh attacks from critics emerged after she blasted blogger Tunde Ednut for supporting self-acclaimed activist Verydarkman.
Many stated that the actress does not have the right to accuse Tunde of “promoting societal ills and unfounded criminal accusations” after joining APC.
Reacting in a post via Instagram on Thursday, Tonto said APC is not the problem, suggesting that most Nigerian youths lack comprehension.
She wrote: “Hide wealth in written notes and a typical jobless Nigerian youth might still die poor.. Your problem is not APC, not the government but it starts with you not knowing how to read and comprehend.”

Tonto was the deputy governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Rivers State for the 2023 election.
She, however, stepped down from the race 48 hours before the election and declared her support for the APC governorship candidate Tonye Cole who lost to Siminialayi Fubara of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
