Actress Georgina Onuoha has recollected how she found out she was pregnant with her daughter Mezie through the help of her colleague Stephanie Okereke.
The 43-year-old narrated the incident to Mezie in a video shared on Instagram on Monday in which she explained the history of a camcorder her daughter was playing with.
Georgina said she met with Stephanie during a programme her ex-husband attended in the USA and Stephanie who was studying at the New York Film Academy at the time pointed out that Georgina could be pregnant due to the way she was eating at the restaurant they went to but she dismissed it.
They, however, went to Stephanie’s house after eating at the restaurant and they found out Georgina was pregnant after a pregnancy test.
Narrating the incident to her daughter, the US-based actress said: “That camcorder is older than you, it is 17 years old. Let me tell you the story behind that camcorder. So Chigozie was barely seven months so we went to Hollywood Global, your dad had a programme there with some of the doctors there so I was meeting up with my colleague Stephanie Okereke Linus.

“She was studying at the New York Film Academy in Hollywood so we met up after shooting movies in Nigeria, so we were talking, so she saw the way I was eating and she’s like ‘Girl you are just eating anyhow’ and I’m like ‘I don’t know’ and then she said ‘are you sure you are not pregnant?’ And I’m ‘nah’, so we went to her house and we did a test and I was pregnant with you.”
Georgina added that they went to Universal Studios and she later bought the cam coder which she gifted her daughter as a birthday gift.
Before relocating to the US, Georgina starred in several movies like Rising Moon, Egg of Life, Bumper to Bumper, Secret Adventure, Emotional Crack and Miss Nigeria which also features Stephanie Okereke.
The actress and her ex-husband Ifeanyi Igwegbe have two daughters together.
