The soon-to-be mother of two stopped by The View on Monday where she revealed her due date, announcing that she’s expecting to give birth to her second child on December 31 – New Year’s Eve.
“I think that’s kind of cute,” the singer, who is already a mom to son Egypt Daoud Dean, told hosts Rosie O’Donnell, Whoopi Goldberg, Nicolle Wallace and Rosie Perez with a smile.
Keys announced her second pregnancy via Instagram on June 30, sharing a sweet shot in which she’s cradling her baby bump while flashing a beaming smile at her doting hubby. “Happy Anniversary to the love of my life @therealswizzz!! And to make it even sweeter we’ve been blessed with another angel on the way!! You make me happier than I have ever known! Here’s to many many more years of the best parts of life!” she captioned the adorable photo.
Keys appeared on The View to promote her We Are Here campaign, which supports various charity initiatives and encourages supporters to speak out via social media.
“Being a mother has definitely given me more of a fierceness and understanding of just what you believe in, that much more,” the “Girl on Fire” singer explained when asked if being a mom propelled her to start the charity.
The pregnant celeb most recently posed naked with a peace sign painted on her belly to raise awareness for the movement in addition to opening up about her work during a two-day Social Good Summit in NYC.
“As I prepare to give birth to my new child, I can’t help but think what world I’m bringing the baby into,” she said in her speech. “We see the state of the world today and we can all feel the frustration and the desire to do something to make it better.”
