Actress Rita Edochie has revisited a 2021 controversy with the late comedienne Mercy Obi Nnadi, better known as Ada Jesus.
Rita took a trip down memory lane in an Instagram post on Monday while reacting to comedian AY Makun’s petition against a content creator named Agozi Samuel who accused him of having an affair with Yul Eodchie’s wife May.
The 59-year-old said the accusation against AY and May is similar to her ordeal with Ada Jesus.
She said Ada Jesus defamed her character and everyone expected her to forgive the comedienne.
She wrote in parts: “THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED IN THE CASE OF LATE ADA JESUS AND MYSELF, SHE DEFAMED MY CHARACTER AND THE ENTIRE WORLD EXPECTED ME TO HAVE FORGIVEN HER IN A TWINKE OF AN EYE.
“HMMMMM ODI MMA. YOU DON TREND NOW BUT HOPE YOU KNOW WHERE YOU GO END.”
Ada died on April 21, two days after celebrating her 24th birthday from complications related to kidney disease.
The days before her death were dominated by stories of how veteran actress Rita Edochie placed a curse on the deceased.
Ada Jesus had previously made several allegations against Edochie and Anambra-based Prophet Chukwuemeka Odumeje of the Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention Deliverance.
She claimed that Odumeje connived with Rita to stage fake miracles and further alleged that she helped the actress get men to sleep with.

Angered by the allegations, Rita and Odumeje vowed never to forgive the skit maker.
They both cursed the comedienne when her family took her to Odumeje’s church for prayer, declaring that the ailing young woman will die from her illness as a lesson to others.
Rita and Odumeje, however, made a U-turn after overwhelming public condemnation of their action, saying they had forgiven the comedienne.
