Minister of women affairs and social development Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye and actor Benedict Johnson were among guests who attended the birthday party of Aragorn Fani-Kayode, son of a former minister of aviation Femi Fani-Kayode.
The party was held at the Abuja residence of Mr Fani-Kayode after Aragorn celebrated his eighth birthday with his peers at school on Thursday.
Also in attendance at the party was the child’s mother, Precious Chikwendu; Segun Sowunmi, former spokesman to ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar; Senator Bashir Lado; Senator Mohammed Hassan; Bala Bello, deputy governor of Central Bank of Nigeria; Bashir Ahmad, former special assistant to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari on new media, among others.
Appreciating his guests in an Instagram post on Saturday, Fani-Kayode wrote, “It was an honor and pleasure for us to receive some of my dearest friends who took time out of their busy schedule to join us to celebrate Aragorn’s birthday. It was a wonderful day and we had so much fun.”

Celebrating his son on Instagram on Thursday, the ex-minister wrote: “You are my strength, my joy, my love and the light of my life son and I thank the Lord for your life every day.
“Ever since the day you were born you have brought us nothing but joy, peace, love and blessings. Always kind, gentle, loving and compassionate, you are one in a million and we are so proud of you. I love you with all my heart Aragorn! May God continue to be with you now and always! Happy birthday son!”
Ms Chikwendu, an actress and former beauty queen, said on Instagram she would not write an “epistle” in celebration of her son “because it is an unspeakable joy to be your mom”.
