Filmmaker Kunle Afolayan has expressed shock over the death of actor Sisi Quadri who stars in his his Netflix series Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre.
Quadri’s passing was announced by several of his colleagues on their Instagram account on Friday.
Reacting to the tragic news, Kunle shared a behind-the-scenes picture of himself and Quadri on the set of the series.
The 49-year-old said he is not sure what to say or show to react to the news. He, however, prayed for the deceased.
He wrote: “Sad!Sad!Sad! I’m not sure of what to say or how to deal with this! There is a saying that “T’ibi t’ire la da Ile aye”
This is just so shocking. May your soul rest in peace, Quadri.”
Sisi Quadri’s last Instagram post was on January 14 in which he posted a throwback scene from a movie he featured in 25 years ago.
He celebrated his last birthday on December 26, 2023.
