Actor Yomi Fash-Lanso has recalled his last encounter with his colleague Sisi Quadri who died on Friday, saying that he passed on a week after they met.
Sisi Quadri’s death was confirmed by Bolaji Amusan aka Mr Latin, the President of the Theatre Arts and Movie Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAM) who posted the late actor on his Instagram page, with a short message, “Hmm may God grant him eternal rest”.
Reacting to the shocking news, Yomi Fash-Lanso in an Instagram post on Friday said he met Quadri at a hotel reception a week ago and the latter prostrated to greet him in his usual manner but he is no longer alive.
He wrote: “When it keeps Knocking closer to home.
“And you sit all alone lost in thought.
“Who would be next.
“Who will be bidding you goodbye unexpectedly.
“Who will you never see again, laugh with, play with, chat with or plan with.
“Just last week we bumped into each other at the hotel reception, and in your usual humble manner, you prostrated to greet me and in my usual way I lifted you up quickly.
“But alas today, I say goodbye great soul, may your dove continue flying higher🕊🕊🕊 ṣíṣí Quadri.”
Quadri’s death coincides with the release date of his latest movie, Anikulapo: Rise of the Specter, where he played one of the three ghosts in the mystic epic series directed by Kunle Afolayan.
