Chairman/CEO of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) Abike Dabiri-Erewa has condoled with Pastor Shyngle Wigwe and wife Stella over the death of their son Herbert Wigwe, daughter-in-law Chizoba, and grandchild Chizi.
On February 9, the trio alongside former group chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group Plc (NGX Group), Abimbola Ogunbanjo, and two pilots, died in a helicopter crash near Halloran Springs, California, United States.
The bereaved family began the funeral on March 4 and ended with an outing service on Sunday at The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Lion of Judah Parish in Isiokpo, Rivers State.
Mrs Dabiri-Erewa shared photos of herself with Wigwe’s parents on Instagram.
“Sending heartfelt condolences to Pastor and Mrs. Wigwe as they finally lay to rest their beloved Herbert Wigwe, Chizoba and Chizi. May their souls rest in peace,” she wrote.
Wigwe, his wife and son were buried on Saturday in a private tomb at the newly established Wigwe University.
Dignitaries such as Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote, former chief executive officer of Access Bank Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, former emir of Kano Muhammadu Sanusi, and politicians participated in the funeral.
