Following the death of Oba Lekan Balogun, the Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, is next in line to be crowned Olubadan.
This however will be subject to the approval of Governor Seyi Makinde.
Oba Olakulehin, if approved, will be crowned the 43rd Olubadan, reports The Nation.
The Balogun is a native of Ita Baale in Ibadan North East Local Government Area.
He was a member of the House of Representatives in the Third Republic.
Confirming the death of Oba Balogun, Makinde, in a statement by his media aide Sulaimon Olanrewaju, said he died at the University College Hospital, Ibadan.

Born on October 18, 1942, Oba Balogun sat on the throne for two years before his demise.
He will be buried according to Islamic rights on Friday at 4 pm.
Makinde described the late royal father as an epitome of royal excellence and a great achiever, who made great marks on Ibadanland in just a little over two years of his reign.
The governor expressed his condolences to the Olubadan-in-Council, the Oyo State Traditional Council and the people of Ibadanland and Oyo State, praying to God to grant repose to the soul of the deceased monarch.
