Media entrepreneur Dele Momodu has called on the public and the movie industry to mourn actor Junior Pope and some crew members who died in a boat accident on Wednesday instead of trading blames.
Junior Pope was confirmed dead on Wednesday night after several attempts to resuscitate him failed.
The actor alongside other crew members drowned in the River Niger area on their way back from the set of Another Side of Life, a movie produced by Adanma Luke.
Adanma has been subjected to criticism since the accident occurred. Many blame her for not providing life jackets despite shooting her movie in a riverine area.

The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has also prohibited actors from working with her for now at least, adding that there should be no movie production nationwide on Thursday in honour of the deceased.
Mr Momodu said in an Instagram post that it was a most unfortunate incident which he had now come to terms with, calling on all to mourn the departed.
“These days, I do not rush to post certain news but I have finally come to full terms with the fact that we’ve lost some fellow Nigerians in a most unfortunate boat mishap,” he wrote.
“This is not the time to trade blames but a moment to mourn and pray for the repose of their souls.”
