A Channels TV reporter Joshua Rogers has been kidnapped from his residence at Rumuosi in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Mr Rogers covers the Rivers State Government House for the broadcaster.
Gunmen reportedly trailed him to his home after close of work on Thursday.
According to a source who pleaded anonymity, the journalist was taken away in his vehicle.
The source said Rogers earlier on the same day of the kidnap covered an event in Ndoni in the Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers where Governor Siminalayi Fubara, inaugurated a primary healthcare centre.

The facility was built and donated to the state by the PAMO Educational Foundation, founded by former Rivers governor, Peter Odili.
The source said, “Yes, he was kidnapped last night at his residence in Rumuosi and taken away in his car by some unknown gunmen.”
The gunmen have reportedly asked for the sum of N30 million to set the journalist free.
Rivers police spokesperson Grace Iringe-Koko did not respond to request for comment, reports PUNCH.
