The body of makeup artist Abigail Frederick, who died following a boat accident on Anam River in Anambra State, has been exhumed.
Ms Frederick, actor Junior Pope and several others died in the boat accident on April 10. They were at the location fof the production of Adanma Luke’s movie Another Side of Life.
Frederick’s body was found on April 11. She was quickly buried at the riverbank.
On Saturday, however, Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno directed that her body should be brought to her family. The deceased was a native of Akwa Ibom.
Movie producer known simply as Stanley confirmed on Sunday on Instagram Story that Akwa Ibom State Government officials were in Asaba, Delta State capital for Frederick’s body.
“Akwa Ibom State government team are in Asaba already to exhume the body of late Abigail (makeup artist).
“I must commend their state government for this wonderful gesture,” he wrote.
Stanley, also a show promoter, shared photos of the moments with bloggers but posted on Instagram a video showing the moment the government officials took Frederick’s body away.
