Junior Pope: Sylvester Madu begins seven-day fasting, prayer over deaths in Nollywood

Actor Sylvester Madu has commenced a seven-day prayer and fasting over deaths in Nollywood.

The movie star proposed this after the unfortunate demise of his colleague Junior Pope and four other crew members as a result of a boat accident in Anam River, Anambra State.

Sylvester stated that the prayer and fasting will begin on April 15 and end on April 21.

He wrote: “Join me as I propose a 7 days if Prayer and fasting in and for Nollywood and the Practioners. 15th April to 21st April. Evil prevails when good men do nothing, evil prevail also when we don’t pray as Christians. So kindly join me daily online on kingschat or zoom as we pray and fast for ourselves and colleagues in Nollywood.

“Link to join will be sent on my WhatsApp status and all Nollywood platforms and my social media platforms too You can break your fast from 2 pm, 4 pm or 6 pm. And at 2 pm to 2.15 pm, 4 pm to 4.15 pm, 6 pm to 6.15 pm we will pray for 15 minutes at each of this times daily for 7 days. I will be sending prayer points daily and will also be live daily on TikTok Facebook and Instagram at each of these 15 minutes to lead us in this prayer times.”

On Tuesday, Sylvester shared a video of himself and other filmmakers on his Instagram account, praying against death and in the movie industry. He quoted Bible verses at different intervals of the prayer session.

The actor and his crew prayed for movie producers, actors, directors and those in leadership positions.
