The national president of Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has said that Junior Pope had already died when his body was brought out of the river.
Emeka Rollas said this in a recent interview with Afia TV in which he dismissed rumours that CPR was not administered to Junior Pope.
“Anybody who said that nobody performed CPR on JP must be telling lies. First of all JP was not rescued from a near-boat mishap, JP was brought out dead. He had spent over four hours in the water, I was there live.
“When JP brought out, he was already dead. All those CPR they were performing, it was just like okay, ‘lets give a second chance’ and they first took him to the hospital,” he said in parts.
Junior Pope was confirmed dead on the night of April 10 after several attempts to resuscitate him failed. The actor alongside make-up artist Abigail Frederick, and the production crew; Friday, Olanti and Precious drowned in Anam River on their way back from the set of Another Side of Life, a movie produced by Adanma Luke.
