Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle have met actress Rita Dominic, her husband Fidelis Anosike, filmmaker Ego Boyo and other board members of the Miss Nigeria beauty pageant.
The couple, who first landed in Abuja on their arrival in Nigeria on Friday, met the board members at an event in Lagos to wrap up their three-day visit.
Rita Dominic posted a video from the get together on her Instagram account on Monday and thanked the couple for the visit.
Captioning the video, Rita wrote: “#HarryandMeghanVisit with a few of my lovely, power @missnigeriaorg board members, @crackeddiamond @officialegoboyo @senamiji and @olatomiwawilliams with my baby @fidelisanosike. It was sucha gracious and uplifting event @thedel borough Lagos! @sussexroyal.”
The couple’s primary visit is to promote the Invictus Games comes after Harry met the Nigerian team and the Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Musa at last year’s competition in Dusseldorf, Germany.
On day three of the visit, Prince Harry and Meghan took part in a basketball event with the Giants of Africa Foundation in Lagos, an organisation that helps youth through engagement in the sport.
The couple later met with Lagos State governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and also attended a Lagos fundraiser.
“He has seen a lot and is still soaking in a whole lot,” the governor said of the prince’s experience of Nigeria.
