Arise TV anchor Ojy Okpe has said that she named the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle Ngozi after her late mother.
The media personality stated this in an Instagram post on Sunday evening with a photo of herself, Meghan and Prince Harry.
Okpe said she told Harry that she adored his late mother Princess Diana and took her as a role model.
“Hanging With The Royals. Prince Harry takes after his mother, the late Princess Diana. I told him how I adored her, she was my ultimate role model, after my Mother, God bless their souls.
“Meghan is a true Princess! I named her Ngozi, after my Mother,” she wrote.
Prince Harry was accompanied by his wife Meghan on a three-day visit to Nigeria to promote the Invictus Games, which he founded in 2014. The couple concluded their visit to Africa’s most populous nation with a stopover in Lagos on Sunday.
The Invictus Games are aimed at raising funds and supporting serving members of the military as well as veterans to overcome their physical and mental illnesses, which would help them develop a sense of belonging and increase self-esteem.
